Emptied frig, unplugged, reached into back of freezer and removed the screws holding bottom back panel. then unwire the motor and replace new one. The problem was the fan blades didnt fit the new motor shaft and motor mounts in upward position so the blades kept sliding down and rubbing. I had to make a homemade bushing to keep blades away from motor housing. Redneck ingenuity.
