First of all, disconnect the power from the machine. Then, removed the clamp fittings to remove the old hose. At the same time I replaced the coin filter (which I probably did not have to replace since it is not a filter, more of a trap) and therein lies a warning. Make sure that the filter is pushed all the way down into the bottom of the new hose. Otherwise, it can get drawn up and lodged between the rotating washer drum and drum liner (which happened to me and was a tad difficult to get out). Then just replace the hose and attach the clamps. Other than the problem with the filter (my fault), very easy and folks at PartSelect were terrific!
