I removed the 2 screws that hold the dishwasher in so I could pull it out. I found out later I didnt need to do this. then I removed the bottom cover and saw the spring that was broken. I removed the spring, hooked the new one into place and I was done. This was the easiest repair I ever had to do.

Door Spring

This door spring is four and a half inches long. It is used for some dishwashers. These springs tend to wear out at the same rate, so you shoulf replace both of your dishwasher door springs at the same time.
