I have never attempted to repaor any appliance that I have owned other than this one. I watched a couple of youtube videos on how this was done but the dryers were not the stackable type like mine. It took me a little while to figure out how to get both front panels of and disassemble the existing duct assembly. This was mostly done through logic and trial and error. The replacement duct assembly is slightly different than the original assembly. It fits properly however, it only has holes in the bottom where the screws go as opposed to threaded compartments where the screws screw into it. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase nuts to use on the back of 4 or 5 of the bottom screws so they would stay in place. Two of the backs of the bottom screws are inaccessible as they are behind other metal parts so it is not fully attached. Now it rattles internally when the washing machine is on. Not a huge problem but would have been nice if the replacement duct assembly matched the original and this problem would have been alleviated. I'd rather have the rattling than the hole in the grate as socks were falling into it and I was worried this would cause a fire.
