FIRST I REMOVED THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE ELEMENT IN PLACE. THEN I REMOVED THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE ELEMENT SHIELD ON THE TOP OF OVEN IN PLACE. I THEN PULLED THE ELEMENT OUT OF THE BACK OF THE OVEN ABOUT 3-4 INCHES AND DISCONNECTED THE TWO WIRES. I REMOVED THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY SHIELD AND ELEMENT. THEN I DISCONNECTED THE ELEMENT FROM THE SHIELD LITTLE BRACKETS HOLD IT IN PLACE. TOOK NEW ELEMENT AND FIXED IN PLACE ON THE SHIELD WITH THE BRACKETS. AT THIS POINT I REPLACED THE TWO SCREWS THAT HOLD THE ELEMENT TO OVEN SHIELD. THEN I TOOK THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY AND RECONNECTED THE TWO WIRES. PUSHED THE ELEMENT BACK INTO THE BACK OF THE OVEN. LINED UP THE SCREW HOLES OF OVEN AND BROILER SHIELD PUT SCREWS BACK IN. AND DONE. I MIGHT ADD I TURNED THE POWER OFF TO THE OVEN BEFORE WORKING ON IT.
