bottom element got extremely hot!

Wife noticed when she turned the oven on it immediately started to spark and sputter. This happened once before so she knew what to do. She shut the oven off. It happened on Friday. (pizza night). Dad (me) looked at it and diagnosed the problem then ordered the part online. It took about a week to get here and I installed it in less than five minutes. We're having pizza tonight :).
