Dec 26, 2012

After discovering a broken door cable, obtained two new cables. I removed the lower panels, (four screws) and then the two screws securing the top of the dishwasher to the counter top. I then slid the dishwasher out about an inch to gain access to the studs on the hinge ends and removed and replaced the lug ends of the cables to the studs. I then routed the two cables under the idler pulleys and connected the two springs in parallel to the eyelets in the "T" ends of the cables. I then slid the dishwasher back in place and replaced the access panels and six screws previously removed. My water inlet is connected with a flexible braided hose so moving the dishwasher did not involve disconnecting the water supply.
