Checked the contacts that should be closed when the dryer was turned on and heating and they were not closed. Jumpered them to determine timer was the problem. Timer is simple to replace. Removed the narrow back panel at top of dryer, remove screws holding the timer, unplug wires, install new timer, plug wires back in, replace back panel, and job was done.
