Wheels were falling off our older GE dishwasher

Replaced 2 wheels, one of which was lost, the other of which had gotten partially melted by the heating coil after it had fallen off. Replaced all 8 of the axles. The problem was with the old method of attaching the axles to the dishwasher. They were attached on the side, so they could fall off in one direction. The new axles flank the post and can not come off in a sideways direction. Lower rack now rolls in and out securely. No more having the rack suddenly fall when a wheel comes off. Don't hesitate to effect this repair yourself.
