I was fairly surprised that the part arrived as soon as it did, just 3 days. I left the part on the washer for my husband and he fixed the machine as soon as he arrived home from work.

The machine was sitting next to the table I use to fold clothes. The cat was asleep on top so my husband moved him to one of the laundry baskets so he could lay the washer on its side to get to the motor. He climbed part way into the machine to get a better handle on things. Apparently, the cat felt it was time to get up so he jumped down onto the machine with a reverberating thud. After my husband recovered from the surprise the cat proceeded to climb into the machine with him for a pet. This seems to be the hardest part of the entire repair. And with the cats help the repair went well, and now I have to catch up on all the laundry.
