Bake Element not heating

Raised old element, used nut driver to remove old screws. Pulled element out, used screw driver to remove screws holding wires to element. Cleaned the oven while I had the opportunity. Attached wires to new element, pushed it in and attached bracket to wall. Looks brand new now and the element glows again! The screws that come with the new element should be used to attach the wires to the element - don't use the old screws. I made the mistake of assuming the old screws and new screws were identical, and nearly ripped the connectors off the new element (of couse I was using an electric driver).
