Heating Element Burned Out

Friday, 16 November, the oven heating element has burned out. Thanksgiving is the 22nd. The turkey awaits. Panic reigns.
I call Sears for repair. An appointment is set for Sunday the 18th between noon and 5 pm. An email confirms the appointment. On Saturday a telephone call confirms the appointment. On Sunday at 4:30 no repairman has appeared and no phone call has been received. I check the computer. An email from Sears states the repairman had called but nobody was home. Please call to schedule another appointment. I call Sears and tell them there were five people here all day, I have two doorbells and a dog that barks. Sears says they never schedule repairs on Sunday. Another appointment can’t be made till after Thanksgiving. So much for Sears repairs.
My son says he can fix the oven if I can get the heating element. Monday morning the local hardware says they can’t get an element till after Thanksgiving and send me to Maytag. Maytag says the can get an element by Tuesday and so I order but don’t have faith.
I discover xxx on line. I call the number and a nice lady in Nova Scotia answers. She assures me she can have the element here by Tuesday morning. Again I order but don’t have faith.
Tuesday morning the element arrives. We’re saved. Tuesday afternoon Maytag calls and we’re saved again.
My experience with xxx is nothing but fantastic. I highly recommend you service. And I learned they do celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada but on a different date.
