Timer on machine was not cycling.
Pried off the center cover on the setting knob with a screw driver, removed the "keeper" pin behind it with a screw driver, removed the knob, Spring and secondary knob behind the first knob simply pulling it off, removed two small bolts on the face of the control panel with 5/16" nut driver that was holding the "Timer" in place. Removed the front of the control panel (4 phillips screws on top)and unplugged the "Timer" and plugged in the new one. Reversed process. Very easy.

Worn out timer
It was easy to determine it was a bad timer. When the washer stopped working during a cycle if you wiggled the timer knob it started working again. We found this web site and found the part we needed very easily, ordered the part and it was in our hand much faster than we expected. The part was simple to install. Pop the cover off the top of the machine, remove the knob,a couple screws and a plug. Done deal. Great diagrams on this site too and easy to navigate through. Thank you.

Wash machine would not always turn on or it would only start in some cycles but not all.
Unplugged the machine, removed the four top screws with a phillips screwdriver, popped out the plug on the front of the knob with a small screwdriver, removed the clip with a needlenose pliers making sure not to lose the spring behind the knob, removed the two timer screws with a nutdriver and unplugged the wiring harness.Installation was just the reverse.Very easy installation and super fast service.I ordered the part at about 11am and it was delivered the next morning at 9:30am.I've ordered parts from this company before and the service was great then too.

On the permanent press cycle, it will fill with water, but not agitate or spin. On the regular heavy side it will do everything. Fill, agitate, and rinse, and spin. I'm thinking i need a new timer?

Hi Amber, Thank you for the question, I suggest replacing the Timer, PartSelect Number: PS11739263. This timer controls the cycles and when the fill valve fills the tub with water. Hope this helps!
