Timer: There are two spring clamps that hold the control panel to the top of the washer - you can't see or access them. To disengage them; slip a putty knife under control panel from the front at each end of the control panel while pushing backwards on the top of the control panel. To remove the timer knob; there is a pin on the back of the timer, take a screw driver and pull the pin backwards (it does not come out but will move about an 1/8") this disengaes a lock pin whithin the timer knob. While holding the pin out with the screwdriver pull the knob at the same time and it should release. Once the knob is removered there is a small screw - remove it. Next To remove the timer, unplug the wire harness, underbeath the harness plug is a screw - remove it. The timer has 4 bayonet slots that hold the plastic timer body to the control unit frame - slid it to the right - it will come right off. Install the new one and your done. about 15minutes.
