I search on the Internet to troubleshoot. I began to disassemble the unit with information I gathered from other websites. I checked the idler lever and knew indeed that was the screeching culprit. Once, I figured out the parts I would need to do a thorough job (idler lever, 2drum support rollers, multi-rib belt), I searched for parts and came upon I got more thorough review via the partselect videos on how to replace everything and put it back together. If I knew about this site and the detailed videos it provides for each part I ordered, I would have saved myself at least 1.5 hours from the reasearch and disassembling time. I followed the videos and only asked for backup help when I was putting the new belt around the idler lever. Hearing the dryer run again without the screeching was such a relief!
