A switch in the timer was tirning on the cold water when it was not suppost to. The problem was solved by replacing the timer. This involved first unplugin the machine. To gain access to the timer a putty knife is used to releace the clips on both sides of the control panel. The first knob is removed by pushing it in(the off position and on the back side of the timer a small screwdriver is put in to the shaft to hold it and then the knob can be pulled out and removed. The bottom plate is pryed forward to remove. Next the wire connectors on the timer are removed. To remove timer there is a retaining oval on the left side that must be freed and then timer can be slid to the left for removal. To install reverse steps and test.
