New genuine GE replacement crisper frame space for glass shelf was 1/8 inch too narrow and glass would not fit. Glass 27 1/2" , space 27 3/8+inch wide. I used a sheetrock knife and multi-tool to carve out the extra 1/8 inch from the frame rather than send back the piece. It is almost as good as factory, but a little rough on some of the edges. I do things like this for a living and had the tools. MY SUGGESTION is when you get the replacement part, measure to be sure the glass will fit in the slot be before you even take the old part out, otherwise it will add a lot of extra time and frustration. The original broken piece had a very tight glass shelf fit, which is probably why the plastic crisper shelf broke in the first place.
