I live in florida and my house got hit with lightning. No one was injured but once the fire department left and I started to assess the damages, I noticed things like my hot water tank, dryer, thermostat for ac, dimmer light switches, a tv, dvd player, paper shredder and so on all died on me. I started my research on how to procede. As far as my dryer was concerned, I figured "it was aready broke" and I couldn't make it any worse. So I said to my wife that I was going to try to fix it my self. I opened things up with the help of youtube did some circuit testing and made a parts list. I surfed the internet for parts and came across partselect.com and their website was well designed and prices where cheaper than everyone else I saw. I ordered the parts and put a rush on it. Got the parts. Put things back together. Crossed my fingers. Hit the power back on. Voila! It's been about a week and half now and all is doing great. I normally do not do these kind of follow up emails, but I thought it was the least I could do for partselect.com for helping me out. I believe it only cost me 38 dollars to do the fix.
