Timer knob was missing

I watched the installation video to be sure that I did the job right. The video was very helpful because it prompted me to ensure that the metal ring from the old timer knob was removed from the timer shaft before installing the new knob. When I looked things over before starting I saw that the ring was still on the timer shaft. I used pliers to remove the old ring then easily slipped the new knob onto the shaft. Now the job was complete.
