Normal and Cancel lights where flashing on panel front, and panel would not reset. Recommendation from several websites was to replace the front panel with keypad

Turned off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher. Removed 6 screws holding the panel to the dishwasher door. Gently released door latch mechanism and left it hanging. removed the ribbon cable from the circuit card and gently released the circuit card from the plastic clips holding in place. Placed the circuit card into the new panel and inserted the ribbon cable into the connector. Positioned the latch mechanism into the new panel and snapped in place. Aligned the panel on the door and inserted the six screws. It took about as long to replace it as to write this summary. Turned the circuit breaker for the dishwasher on and started a normal wash cycle. No panel reset was necessary and the new panel solved the problem.
