The door latch right plastic retainer for the steel axle rocker pin, broke. I read the other instructions and knew how to proceed. The old micro switches on the wire loom were intact. I removed the new micro switches from the new door latch. only two plastic hook detents, easy. Use screwdriver tip or even a spoon. Remove screws which hold inner door cover to outer door. DO NOT REMOVE bottom two screws! This will keep gasket in place so you won't have to reposition and check for leaks afterwards. Lift inner door panel gently. The top two center screws held the door latch in place. Reach in and remove the door latch. The wire loom has enough slack so you can move it clear of the door. do not attempt to remove the wire loom connectors from the old micro switches (one on each side of the latch). Hold the wire connectors on each side of the switch by the plastic at the end of the wires but before the switch connectors. Remove the old micro switches exactly like you did the new ones from the new switch. Remember which color wires were on which side of the switch. This will free the old door latch. put it to the side. Since the new micro switches are off the new door latch already. Position the new door latch near the end of the wire looms and install the old micro switches (still attached to the end of the wire loom) onto the new door latch. They go on exactly in reverse order as you removed them. However, you must "close" the switch to get it to slide easily into place. I used the closed end of a needle nose pliers to close the little black switch so it would slide easily under the switch activator built into the door latch. Repeat the process on each side. Once the micro switches and wire loom are in place, you have only to put the new door latch into place in the outer door assembly. It all slides into place quite easily. make sure the wire loom is in place and lying flat. Push the inner door panel into place on the outer door making sure all the holes line up fairly closely and that the door latch retainer holes are in position on the top center two holes. Install all of the screws loosely so you can jiggle it around to get all screws started. Tighten the screws. You are DONE! Good work!
