Water was not coming into the dishwasher

At first I looked at the screen on the inlet to clean it out, but though dirty that wasn't it. I ran the dishwasher thru its cleaning cycle, adding water by hand whenever it was called for and it worked fine so I eliminated the master control as a problem. I then checked the overflow relay to make sure that it hadn't permanently opened by shorting it during a fill up cycle and that didn't work. I then ordered a new inlet valve cause that seemed like the most likely culprit. Simply disconnected the inlet pipe with a wrench and unscrewed the valve and put the new one in. Works like a top.
