lid switch assembly was ripped and exposed to water

I looked at the video, called a repair person thinking I couldn't do it. Emailed a friend who I hoped would volunteer to do it. He told me I should press on. Went over to the house and started following the instructions. Had to come back over to my house to look at the video for each section. If I didn't do that, I would take out something that didn't need it and would have to replace it. Once I got the part out, I ordered the new part. 3 days later it arrived. Again, I ventured from the other house to my house, looking carefully at the video each time and moving one step at a time. It took part of two different days but, for me, it was rewarding and empowering.
