BAd Noise & finally pump Locked up

I thought the noise was the thrust bearing. Replaced it but didn't fix. Washer worked but hstill had terrible noise. Went shopping for new washer - then pump locked up. I siphoned out the water (good idea) and folled ditections I found on this site. 1. pryed up top with screwdriver. Raised lid. 2. Removed the 2 front panel screws with a nutdriver. 3.Removed hose clamps from pump with pliers. 4. Removed 3 screws holding pump. 5.Replaced pump in reverse order. 6. Crossed fingers - it works fine - saved $800.00
