I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE PART. ALTHOUGH I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT PRYING THE COUPLING OFF THE BLENDER. HOWEVER, I DID FOLLOW THOSE DIRECTIONS AND SCREWED THE NEW PART ON WITH EASE.
