Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
timer would shut off after a few minutes.
received part day after we ordered the control board. My husband was working that day, so I installed it myself. Was pretty easy to do. I took a picture of how the old one was connected, and then I took the old one out, and put the new part in. It now works great. Thank you we saved 150.00 installing it ourself.

Electric Dryer would only run a few seconds.
Researched problem on line. Many others had same symptums after power outages and Hurricane Irene. Dryer was in use when power went off, back on, back off than on again. Dryer would not work more than a few seconds. LED lights would go off; Drum did spin; Heater elements came on. All symptoms pointed to the control board. Replaced board and dryer is working now. Reports state that this particular control board is very susceptable to power bumps and will fail.

Dryer would turn on but would only run a few minutes and turn off.
Could not have been easier! Removed 3 screws above the control panel which allowed the removal of the front of the panel. The control board was only held on by 2 tabs....no screws, and removed easily. Simply transferred all the leads from the old board to the new one, there were only 5 or 6, then snapped new board in, reconnected the panel, and 3 screws later I had a completely functioning dryer again.
For this Sears was going to charge me $160.00 for the part and $160.00 for labor!

Control panel of the dryer got fried
My husband got a screwdriver to open the dryer control panel. He pulled the burned control board out and put the new one in that we got from partselect.com. We tried the dryer and it worked! I took like five minutes to install. It was so easy! It saved us $130 by not calling a service technician to come over and check the machine.

Dryer would not stay running longer than 15 seconds.
First, I removed the screws from the top of the panel. I removed all wires from the control board and attached them to the new control board. I then snapped the new board in place. SUPER EASY!!! Tightened screws on top panel and tested dryer. Works like a charm!

Dryer would run 15 seconds and shut off. Could turn right back on and again it would shut off after 10 to 15 seconds.
Unscrew 3 screws at the top of the dryer. Remove face plate and discounted 6 leads connecting them to the new control board as you take them from the old one.

Hi Thomas, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Door switch PartSelect Number: PS11741701 and the Thermal Fuse, PartSelect Number: PS11741460. You can test the parts with a multi meter to check for continuity. Hope this helps!

Gas valve does not activate. High limit thermostat, cycling thermostat, radiant sensor and igniter are all good. Is the heater\gas valve relay faulty?
For model number MDG4806AWW
PartSelect logo
Hello Horst, Thank you for the question. If all the other parts tested to be good and the Igniter is giving off enough volts to open the valve, The valve may be defective and need to be replaced. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Dryer will start. Runs 15 sec and shuts off. Heat setting are on fluff no heat
For model number Sears Maytag MDE4806AYW
PartSelect logo
Hi Danny, thanks for the question. When this model of dryer shuts off too soon or will not produce heat, it is most commonly a result of a bad high limit thermal fuse (part #: PS11742274). However, we do recommend checking our repair guide to determine what other parts may be to blame. Thank you for the inquiry, and good luck with your repair.
