I own a GE Profile refiregerator model#: pshs6rgxcdss. It's 2.5 years old and all of a sudden the water dispense stopped dispensing water. After researching on the Internet and reading the GE support online blogs, I changed the water valve (blue color) that is in the back side bottom left of the refrigerator. This did not fix the problem. Since I was hearing solenoid clicks when the dispenser was pressed, I found that the only reason why the water wouldn't dispense could be the valve that is on the inside of the refrigerator where the water filter is connected. two tubes are connected to the valve that cannot be removed from the valve. This part is called the Filter ASM and Tube. I found the part name and number from GE's web site pictures for my model and called GE to confirm. Replacing this Filter ASM and tube fixed the problem. The filter ASM and tube connects to the water filter that is inside the refrigerator and comes with two tubes connected to it. One tube should be connected to the water inlet (from your wall) and the other should be connected to the water valve (blue in color) behind the refrigerator (left bottom). Removing and Replacing this took me 15 minutes and is a very easy task.
