Unplug and lay dryer on its front. Take off entire back panel using nutdriver. Unplug and test all fuses and wiring for resistance. Element had a broken coil. Remove two screws and slide down element. Remove the black plastic and metal piece with wire connections from side of old element - this piece is not included with new part. Install that piece on new element. Put everything back together. Takes 20 minutes.
