I removed the unit from the refrigerator by taking out two small screws and unhooking the water line. The electrical plugins were hard to get out. Just make sure you unplug the unit before you start. I made the mistake of using copper water line to the refrigerator, and every time we pulled out the refrigerator, it must have put pressure on the neck of the water valve. I spliced a plastic tube about two feet long to the copper line to add flexibility to the line in the future.
