Belt was cracked and slipping

Aparently Maytag dryers are made to be worked on. All I had to do was remove the front of the dryer, slide the new belt over the drum and remove the old one. Then I removed the rear access cover at the motor and looped the belt around the tension pulley and the motor pulley. While it was apart I was able to clean the lint from the dryer exhaust ducting. All pulleys were also oiled.
