After turning off the power and the water supply, I removed the old valve and replaced it with the new valve. Very simple -- the inlet line to the valve is attached with a hex fitting. The outlet is attached with a spring clamp. There is an electrical connector which powers the solenoid that opens the valve. The connector simply pulls off the old valve and is pushed back onto the new valve. With the power still off, I turned on the water supply to check for leaks. There were no leaks, but to my surprise, water immediately surged through the valve and into the dishwasher! -- Remember, there was no power to operate the solenoid! BAD VALVE? Back to the Internet. So far, I've found no other explanation. HELP!!
