Front plastic Piece on both top level slides wouldnt come off

It would have been nice, not being a dishwasher repair man, that when the new parts came, there were a set of instructions included on how to install them. There must have been a special tool that Maytag uses to repair these items, and I ended up having to break the pieces off in order to install the new parts.. this was a shame.

I installed the rollers that allow the top tray to slide in and out of the dishwasher so I can lay glasses and pans on that shelf... There are 2 plastic white pieces in front of each slide that must come off in order to slide out the old parts and in with the new.
But I had to twist each plastic side real hard and break them to get the new parts in.. now I have a mess...
