Unplugged the dryer and removed the exhaust duct. Pulled dryer away from back wall and removed the rear cover. Pulled wires off heating element & ohmed element with a multimeter. Element failed to show any ohms so I removed the element from the dryer and visually saw the element was broken. Ordered the part. It arrived within 5 days and installed it. attached the wires and put the rear cover back on. Hooked up the exhaust duct and plugged unit back in. Tested the dryer and it has been working fine ever since.
