The valve was stuck at first and no water would come thru but the ice maker still worked. After messing with it I got it to work for a couple of days but then it stuck open and the water would not stop. So I went for a new inlet valve, part # 2188542. First, shut off the water valve on the wall going to the refrigerator. Then remove the copper water line from the unit. remove screws holding the cardboard back to the bottom of the unit and remove the back. Remove two screws holding the inlet valve and pull it out to remove the two water lines going into the unit. Reverse this procedure to install the new valve. Everything works like new.
