Important advice... if you have trouble separating the top agitator from the bottom, the tabs that hold them together are probably melted. Find four white plastic tabs, looking down from top agitator, (you can see if they are melted). Then put a flathead screwdriver on the edge where it is melted and tap the other end of the screwdriver with a hammer. Once you get the melted plastic loose, the two agitators will come apart easily. Otherwise, you will hurt your back yanking on the dang thing.
