I removed the hex screws from the fuse, unhooked the wire contacts and replaced with new fuse. I then plugged in the dryer and tried it. It worked!!I then went on to unplug appliance again, replace the thermostats (while I had the back open and in case bad thermostats could have lead to fuse going bad)... roughly the same process as fuse. We've been enjoying dry warm clothes ever since, and I'm sure that it is running more consistently than it had been for the past several months. I am a repair GOD.
