Found my popsicles not so frozen, checked the settings - good, looked at the back wall of the freezer, it was covered in frost. Knew at this point that it was not defrosting, removed all the food and trays, removed the back wall - 4-screws to see the coil - completely covered in frost, placed towels at the bottom and poured warm water over the coils to defrost and check the defroster lamp. Checked ohms, bad. Partselect time! Filled out the easy order form, found a recommended better solution - a double element. Received the order, right part! Followed the easy directions and installed, works better than when it was new! Had to raise the temperature, as everything is freezing in the refrigerator section! The double element is really doing a better job of defrosting the freezer! Highly recommend this over the single element.
