The coupler between the motor and transmission was stripped

First mistake, I filpped the machine upside down to find the problem. I've barely even used a washing machine, much less worked on one. I found the problem and replaced the broken part, however during this process I dumped all the oil out of the transmission. I now know how to do this repair, and trust me you need to take the cabinet apart and leave the machine upright. All worked out in the end though.
