The teflon coating on the ice maker had worn off in a section. This was causing the cubes to stick and the tray heater to have to run longer. Which meant that water would accumulate in the tray over several cycles, eventually spilling over on a fill. The hardest part about replacing the ice maker was getting the plug disconnected. I had to use a small screw driver to push the tab that latches it down while pulling the plug out. You only have to completly remove the lower mounting screw. The top two just need to be loosened enough to remove the ice maker.
