My husband died in 2002 and I have tried to fix the things I could since then since a service call is so expensive. I entered the model # on KitchenAid web site and said it would not start. One of the suggestions was this Thermal Fuse. Site said that 52% of the time this fuse was the reason it would not start. Since the part was less than $20.00 i decided to try fixing it myself. The most time involved was getting the dryer away from the wall and the getting the back panel off. Following instructions on the site I was able to disconnect the bad fuse and connect the new one. I did say a little prayer that it would work and it did. Thank you for all your instructions and help along the way. Jeannie
