Door latch would not release

We removed all the screws (hex head) around the inside door. Removed the latch assembly, and unhooked the two switches. (turn off curcuit breaker first!)

found the serial # and model # on the side of the door and searched partselect for the part. very easy website, ordered and recieved in just a few days.

We replaced the part, plugged it back in, and screwed the door back together. turned on the curcuit breaker and it works again.

The part is plastic, and think it cracked from letting the door shut hard on its own.. instead of closing softly.
