Timer would not go through Complete Cycle

First thing was to unplug the washer. Than take the 4 screws that holds face plate on.Pulled the cap that hold the timer knob, pulled the clip. Used a socket to take the screws out that holds the timer to the face plate, unpluged the wiring harness, replaced the control and wiring harness, replaced the knob and clip, replaced the face plate. Pluged it back in,turned it on and it worked perfectly.
