Really easy fix. Remove burner element, then burner basket.Remove small Phillips screw on the rim of the cooktop opening for the burner. Next lift the cooktop and remove the wires from the plug-in (Long nose pliers are recommended but not necessary). Next thing to do is examine the insulation on the wires - MAKE SURE IT IS 100% INTACT! DO NOT CONTINUE IF THE WIRE INSULATION IS NOT IN GOOD CONDIITON - EXTREME FIRE HAZARD - CALL A PROFESSIONAL!Reinstall the new plug-in in reverse order.
