Water Leaked from Icemaker Into Freezer Compartment

The leaking water can be caused by either a leaky dual control valve, by a faulty time cycle control, or by a mechanical failure in the ice maker. I first replaced the dual water control valve at the back bottom of the refrigerature. This did not solve my problem. The water was allowed to flow for too long, but would eventually stop. I replaced the entire ice maker per the on line video instructions. This was easy. The water leak is solved.
