unplug dryer
remove two corner screws on dryer control unit
pull control unit toward you to dislodge and flip over
remove back cover panel
pull off timer knob on front of control unit
unscrew timer from control unit- note orientation of timer so you can replace new timer correctly
holding new timer next to old timer in same orientation
one by one, remover each wire using needle nose pliers and install each wire on new timer in corresponding location.
DO NOT remove all wires at once
Once all wires are relocated on new timer, position timer on control unit and screw back in
Replace cover panel and slide control unit back into place
re-install two corner screws to hold control unit on dryer
re-install old knob on to timer (note flat side on timer shaft should align with flat side of knob hole)
Plug in dryer and test timer
Tell everyone in the house how much you saved by repairing the dryer yourself
