Loosened the two screws holding the control panel to the base. Flipped the panel over the back plate, disconnected the switch to the panel and unhooked the two metal latches. The whole front panel and top come apart as one piece. You lay the unit on the front putting something on the ground to ensure you don't scratch the unit. Changing the switch took about one minute. There is only one screw holding the groundwire and two screws are supposed to be holding the switch. On my, the switch had broken free from these two screws. I put in the new switch unit in about two minutes. While the washer was apart, I spent time cleaning up places that needed to be wiped down. I then put it all back together.
