Previous repair experience: a few months ago pump failed (jammed by daughter's sock).
took washer out on deck, drained it, took everything I could find off, THEN found this site, and easy directions. This time: Found exploded drawing and description of problem, removed front panel, found broken belt. Phone call to delightful staff, parts arrived in a few days. More work to keep other household items out of the way than to do the job. Idler
pulley just drops in place, work the belt around the drum, idler and onto the drive gear.
An extra hand would have been helpful to keep the drum in place, and my four year old
was intimidated by the task, though she is capable of doing it- ended up just propping it
up with a flashlight. Replace front panel, turn drum by hand to assure everything is in
place, and start drying clothes. Moral of the story.....don't wait until you HAVE TO do
laundry, and check here first for repair help!
