First I had to kill the power to the refridgerator. Second remove the shelves from the freezer side. Third remove the back wall inside the freezer, this is two screws. Fourth I had to defrost the ice from the coils above the defrost heater. Fifth I removed the old defrost heater and installed the new one. Last I put the back wall and shelves back into the freezer. It would have been faster if I would have owned a heat gun. I had to use a hair dryer to remove the ice from the coils. Simply put, follow the instructions supplied with the part. Very simple fix that I've paid $175 twice before to a repair man to have fixed.
