First I watched the video on how to replace the direct drive coupling. It was very detailed, and it described exactly what I needed to do. Taking the washer apart was very easy. I installed the new coupling and had the washer back together in under 30 minutes. I later found out that the old coupling broke because the gearbox was jamming, which in turn made the motor work really hard and smoke. When I noticed the smoke I ran to turn it off, but the capacitor blew. Time to buy a new washer.
