New High Limit Kit corrected the problem.
16yo son and I replaced both fuses exactly the way described by others on this site. I pulled the heating coil out for easier access. Also cleaned the air duct behind the dryer as some lint had it partially blocked.
The only difficulty part was fitting my hand back behind the drum to get the new fuse positioned. This is where a second pair of hands is helpful for tightening a screw back in place.
When it started running again I could smell a little dust or lint burning off the heating coil but that went away after a few seconds. May have accumulated because the dryer hadn't been used in a while.
